Hi, Greetings from the Visually Workshop team.

This is a website for young people who want to find out how the eye works, what conditions can affect the eye, what we can do to keep our eyes healthy, and how to help people with eye conditions and sight impairment. We will tell you about the people who work in an eye clinic, and about people who do research with adult patients and children to develop better tests and better treatments. Maybe you want to join as a volunteer? This could be your first step towards a career in the NHS or in research!

Module Two - Eye Conditions

15mins
Online / Face to Face

This module is about what happens when things are not quite right – there are some very common eye conditions that lots of people have – for example having to wear glasses to see clearly. Or an eye allergy. Some conditions are very common in middle-aged and elderly people, but very rare (and super severe) in children, like cataract and glaucoma. You may learn a few things that you can tell the parents and grandparents about!
